One job I applied to yesterday asked for my GPA's for graduate and undergraduate. Gives me the impression it might be for someone with fewer years of experience than me, ya think? Amazingly enough, I accessed them right away. Never knew I was that organized. Or lucky.
Thing is, my GPA's seem to indicate that I am average. I am anything but.

I think GPA's are deceiving. My GPA sucked when I first went to college because I was dealing with so much emotional stuff and then I also worked over 40 hours a week while I was in college and I knew kids who only worked a few hours or not at all. That says nothing about how I am at a job now, though.
Well, hopefully your experience will make them sit back and take notice. GPAs are fairly overrated as indicators of a great employee.
I agree... GPAs are way over rated. I get this question a lot, but then in education, they consider it gold.
I've known some people who were fantastic students but crappy individuals!
Churlita, I think they are too. That being said,I'd love to have a 4.0
Laura, well, any job that only looks at a GPA I wouldn't want anyways...
Ananda, it's overall a silly question, especially when a lot of time has gone by...
I don't remember my GPAs, but I could probably contact the college if I wanted to know. I do know I did better in my Senior year of college than I did as a Freshman.
Frankly, I chuckle when folks include their GPA with their resume.
It tells me little to nothing, but it is entertaining.....
