Holiday Spirit

I was talking with M this morning, and I realized I've only had one tree in a very very long time. 10-15 years. M and I do not have one, alas, since we don't have our Christmas stuff here. But we do have a pointsetta and one string of lights. It's something!

To help get into the Christmas spirit, I sat down on a Sunday afternoon (yesterday) and watched Olive the Other Reindeer. I really do like that one. It's only the second time I've seen it, but it's great.

Finally, here's a funny Christmas comic. Ho ho ho.

I've found the older I get the more work it is to force myself into the Christmas spirit. Movies certainly help, so I'll have to check that one out! Thanks!

Olive the Other Reindeer is really cute :-)

I think a poinsettia and a string of lights will help set the mood. The thing I've always enjoyed most about the tree, beside the smell when it is fresh, is just looking at the lights in an otherwise darkened room.

good for you, not having a tree; it's time we stopped the annual St. Nicholas Day massacre of innocent Douglas firs.

My girls want a tree, but I'm a little worried because of our psycho kitten. I suppose we'll have to anchor it down and hope for the best.

We don't have a tree yet... but this weekend we'll get one. In fact, I don't even have a poinsettia or a string of lights. Nor do we have ornaments. Should be interesting to see what goes on it.

I do love Olive the Other Reindeer!
Thanks for the reminder about it.
