Twitter Tuesday

- So, every time I work with my trainer at the end of the session I get stretched. Used to just be my legs, but now my neck/shoulders too. Although I whine and swear when he's doing it, I feel so much better afterwards that I'd love to be stretched for the whole hour. But he really does push the envelope, and is constantly telling me to relax or to reach my fingers out further. Yesterday as he's pushing me down between my legs I stared at my crotch and wondered if he'd be stretching me to the point where I could reach it and lick myself like a dog/cat. And then I wondered if I'd want to.

- This weekend I spent almost 4 hours buying a pair of ski boots. The guy helping me was great and I found a great pair in the end (Salomon Instinct), but MAN was it exhausting. I can't imagine how he does it all day, and apparently in the busy season it's 12 hour days with helping 3 people at a time. Whew.

- Found out my right leg is longer than the left. Which can explain some of my body problems, and also explains why I can't turn right very easily when I ski. (the downhill ski is supposed to be weighted, and if that leg is shorter, it's hard to weight it). So, he gave me a lift in my left one and we'll see how it goes.

- The other day I saw a woman spit into a grate. Why is it so much grosser when women spit than men?

- Shared a bottle of wine with some friends Sat. night. Excellent. Resonance Vineyard, 2007, White wine. 70% Gewurtzraminer, 20% Pinot Grigio, 10% Müller-Thurgau. It was not sweet, very fruity, almost buttery. Amazing actually.

Ah, stretching and licking talk first thing in the morning. What position would you really have to be in to achieve that? Standing up or on your head for the neck to bend at the correct angle?

Es, thanks for poking your head out of your shell long enough to say hi... Stay dry!

Susan, yes, I thought you'd like that. This is when I'm sitting on the ground and he's pushing me into the floor. Or maybe one could use a special chair...

There was an SNL skit in the mid 90's about people taking yoga classes to learn to do that... I think if it were actually feasible yoga would be a lot more popular, and, you know, no one would ever leave home.

In Guatemala, there was a huge taboo against women spitting, but men spit all over the place. It was kind of weird. I think it's kind of nasty no matter who's mouth it's coming out of.

Squirrel, I thought about yoga too... I bet some yogis could do it. And yes, spitting=nasty.

Torrance, I'll read one, don't worry. Gotta figure out which one.

I despise public spitting too, loggies should be disposed of in some kind of clandestine way. Not an advertisement of hey here's my phlegm

Ugh, the word "loogies" turns my stomach. It ranks right up there with "snot" and by attachment "snot rocket".

I may be ill now.

I can't stand when people spit, male or female. It completely grosses me out.

NoRegrets said...

OG, you mean like putting it on your sleeve?

Susan, she actually wrote loggies so you shouldn't be grossed out.

Lauren - welcome! Obviously this is a spit free zone. I'll have to go see where you came from.

I think it looks worse when women smoke, too. Never thought that it looked sexy, no matter who was doing it, even with those long cigarette holders in the old movies.

Churlita said...

Yeah. I don't think doing it to myself would be the same thing. I thought that's what boys were for.

Wine with friends so wonderful, though.

I miss skiing a lot. On the other hand, the wine sounds divine! Goes with pizza!

A woman spitting into a grate? That's called equal opportunities! :-)

Mel said...

Well then...go figure buying boots for skiing is much more complicated that I ever knew.

The spittin' thing....ACK!

*shudder*

Period. Any gender...it's just wrong.....

Excellent ponderings indeed.

NoRegrets said...

I'm not sure the wine would have gone with pizza, but it was indeed good to share with friends.

Ariel, some things should not be equal.

Mel, it's actually very important to get a good fit. else BAD things happen.

Gracias Suzanne.

Hey! Late to the party. (catching up.)

I'm with Churlita...that's what boys are for. Oh, and the spitting too.

Wine alone is OK as long as there's a good movie to go with it, but always better with friends.

there. I really didn't add anything new to the conversation! :D
