Persepolis
Just saw this today and it really is excellent. Subtitled French. Wonderfully animated in the graphic novel way. About a woman's life growing up and outside of Iran around the time of the revolution and subsequent events. Full of wit, humor, pathos, intelligence, etc. etc. Go see if you can.
I'll probably have to wait till this one comes out on Netflix, but I do want to see it. I'd like to see the other animated shorts that were up for Oscars, too. "Ratatouille" was pretty good, I just saw that last month.
Did I mention I had seen the animated shorts? They were really interesting - not surprised that Peter and the Wolf won. Although I am kind of surprised that Ratatoulle won over Persepolis, but likely the Oscar people didn't know what to do with it.

I loved the graphic novel and have been wanting to see the movie. Hopefully at some point...
You really need to. It's great.
