Some quiet time

Everyone else is finally inside either asleep or going to bed. I've heard the rumbles and so checked weather.com and there's a good storm heading this way, so on the porch I stay. I love thunderstorms. And there's no tornado warnings so I needn't worry too much.

As I sit, bugs join me and sit on the screen, attracted to the white of the blogger page. A couple fireflies are hanging out on the screen just outside the porch. Not sure what they want to have sex with - those lights on the ceiling are pretty damn big!

The movement of the water is moving the dock at the place next door or down the river. It kind of sounds like the seals in San Francisco.

I may need to close the computer and turn off the lights and let the lightening work its magic.

And i'm jealous of NoR again. Don't get too smug though - Mama G will be here soon and then the party will start!

Seriously - take lots of pictures, it sound like a beautiful place. It sounds like everything's going well there. Have a great time!

Thunderstorms do have a certain magic about them don't they? Wait, I didn't see any mention of a drink???

I'd hate for your computer to get in the way of the great show, nature is getting ready to show you.

Wow, thunder and lightning. Any vodka around?

Ah, a porch... we don't have them in Europe you know, but I've always thought I would like one. I like being on porches. And I like thunderstorms too, although where I live they're more dramatic than magical [by the sea]... or maybe that's just a matter of perception, like most things?

CEO, no vodka, but beer and wine. I didn't include in the group of photos my boss opening a bottle of wine at 4 in the afternoon after a particularly trying phone call. She's worked soooo hard.

Ariel, there's NO porches there? Really? I didn't remember that.
I think thunderstorms by the water are really more dramatic too, and I'm not sure why.
