Which one are you? Spendthrift or Tightwad?
Spendthrifts, for example, are those who experience little pain or remorse when spending, while tightwads are all too conscious of what it costs them to part with a dollar. One person feels guilty for not saving more, while the other is wracked by not enjoying life.

haha! Both have negative connotations...but what the hey. I can play this game. I'm an expert by now. Spendthrift. I have money, then I don't, and I'm okay with that.
I am definitely a spendthrift. You gotta spend money to make money.
i'm with laura - i spend it when i have it - and then i don't. this should be no suprise to those who have gotten to know me this summer. ;-)
Oh gosh....I don't even balance my checkbook.
*blushing*
I just spend til I feel squirmy. And then--I'm done til I'm unsquirmy.
Works for me. And I've never been overdrawn! :-/
Pretty odd, huh? LOL
mel - that's just what i do - i had no idea others did the same!
I am a tightwad. I fill my cart and then at the end of my shopping, I walk around and put most of it back. It is a crappy choice in life.
I used to be the other way around. Heavy sigh.
I'm a little bit of both. I've been so poor, that I know how to be careful with money, but I do like to treat myself when I can.
I am definitely a tightwad. But I'm the same as Mel too. I have a great story of not balancing my checkbook. I think I wrote about it already...
My spendthrifiness comes in waves - some purchases I don't feel any guilt over, but some I cringe at, but those aren't very often.
I guess I'm a spendthrift.
