Super Kitty

My poor cat Cleo looked like she was about to die last night. Listless, no energy. But this morning she ate, wanted grass, and looked kind of ok. How long can a cat go with untreated diabetes? I'm thankful, but it amazes me still. It's been a year and a half I think now. She has good days and bad days, but still seems to enjoy life, so I'm not putting her down just yet. Poor dying kitty. But also super kitty.

My friend's cat lived about five years. He was only supposed to live about one.

OK, good to know. I do buy her special, very expensive, food, so I'm sort of treating her. But just not the shots.

Rah rah for Cleo. Tito lasted very little with diabetes, and he was younger than Cleo. But it was obvious that not to have him euthanize when we did wouldhave been for our comfort rather than his. With Mishau it was harder to decide whne. She had had cancer (breast cancer!) for a while, and making the decision for her (and for us) was trickier.

Yeah DBN. I'm just making sure she still likes to be petted and still purrs. Going by that. Trouble is Billy BONKS the hell out ofher and almost bowls her over.
