A view to the east

One of the things I love about my house is that the bedroom window faces east.

This morning I woke up and I couldn't get out of bed. I just didn't want to move. Or open my eyes. But I had to to find the alarm clock to turn it off. And I saw a beautiful sight - the whole sky was orange, like it was on fire. The tree outlines which were black set against that was beautiful.

But my eyes closed again for a bit. Couldn't get up. Snoozed for a minute. Peeked one eye open and now the bottom half the sky was orange and the top half was turning blueish. Really neat. But not enough to keep my eyes open and get me out of bed.

Snoozed for a bit, then peeked an eye open. No more orange which was too bad, but now I could see details (as many details as I could see without glasses) of trees - they were no longer black against the sky background.

And so I figured it was time to get up. It was a nice morning.

So serene. Hey, isn't there a book called "The Sky is on Fire?"

I fully and completely didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I seriously laid in bed a good thirty minutes trying to come up with excuses to call in to work. I had nothing, though, so here I sit.

I was up until midnight screaming at football players through the TV screen (they can hear me, I swear)so I truly did not want to get up this morning but my boss isn't at work today so I can pretend that I didn't actually get up at all :)

Tera, I'll have to look... It would be a good book title.
Susan, yeah, well, that happens, unfortunately...most frequently on a Friday?
WNG - I'm grumpy because I so would have loved to see that game but nooooooooooooo I don't have cable so couldn't. I thought football was an American sport so all Americans should be able to watch. grrr...

Hi Fringes - Thanks for the BloPlop congrats. Did I win something or is it just because I did manage to post every day? It wasn't too too hard - I'm much better at spewing in writing than I am verbally.
