Lonely at the top?

This is a photo I took last year of my director before a meeting. I really liked it. Perhaps that will be me someday. I would write more but I spent last night applying to a job, yes, out west. It takes so long!!! If you do it right. Which I hope I did.

FYI, Saturday's word is xanadu.

Wow, I like that shot too! He kind of looks like an evil genius from a James Bond movie.

PS: Good luck with the job prospect!

Radical mom, well, we'll see. I'd be really nervous taking it - it's a stretch career wise, which is a good thing I suppose. And thanks x2

Tara. it's actually a she... and thanks! neat photo of yours too.

That is a really evocative photo...sort of feels like the calm before the storm.

No reason that couldn't be you, if that is what you want.

And come west! :-)

Great picture. Very sparse, yet expressive. Good luck with the job prospect.

I keep warning my boss--I'm as far away from doing what I love that I wanna be. I sure hope he's heard me.
I don't want to be where that gal is....it's just not where I wanna be.

More power to those who enjoy being there, though!
And if that's where you aspire to be--I've no doubt you'll get there!

Wow... great photo... you see the power behind him/her. Well done.

Good luck on the application. They are tricky aren't they?

Laura, not sure I'd want it to be me. But I could do it...

Alien, thanks!

Mel, some people have greatness thrust upon them... I'm not sure I'd want it...

Sebastien, it's a little but it's more generally moody I think.

Ananda - it's funny - we're all very laid back, but this room was very corporate and austere... odd combo. Thanks!
