Email from a friend

Just sell everything you have and go to San Francisco. Period! If you don't just up and do it now, you'll never do it. S. and I both moved to D.C., and then to Ithaca, Scottsdale, and Killadelphia, knowing no one, having no jobs, simply because we wanted to. That's all you need. You don't have any problem. You're just stuck in conventional thinking. Think outside the freaking conventions.

Wow, bold! What do you think? I'd find it tempting...

It is indeed tempting. Funny, how every time I mention to someone that I"m thinking about moving to SF, they come up with reasons it'd be difficult. Except for this friend.

She's right on one level. I did that all the time when I was younger and I always made it work. now that I have kids, it wouldn't work for me. It all depends on what kind of things you need to be happy.

I like comfy. Seems the Big Guy likes to help me get uncomfortable cuz He knows that's what it takes for me.

Wow--I hope that's not the case for you....
Unconventional, outside of the comfortzone thinking/doing isn't an all bad thing. I'da never landed here if I'da stayed comfortable.
....just sayin'....
