The No News

Let's just say that was the longest non interview I've ever had. The guy so wanted to interview me, but I do not have and cannot fake one aspect that all the stakeholders think should be an essential item (the last two people interviewed with 14!!! people). The organization/stakeholders are looking for a needle in a haystack. But the guy really liked my resume and it seems me, and is going to float the general concept of me around to see what kind of reaction it gets. So, we'll see what happens. Maybe next time I'd actually have an interview, rather than a discussion about why I can't be interviewed because he doesn't want to lead me on...

Guess I have more time to work on my house.

It's all ok, since it's just nice to have someone interested in me. I'll keep looking around.

Okay - do you really want to work somewhere where the people are called stakeholders? I'm just sayin'.

You never know. And maybe the guy who likes you knows of other people who are looking for someone to hire!

I ended up with my job because the man who hired me liked me and took a chance on me. There were those more qualified. Best of luck... Tara is right, you never know.

That's kind of weird interview, but I guess it would be worth it if it lead to something good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

C4C - well, I used that word because I'm used to using it. Not sure he did... It's actually a word I use a lot! Guess I don't have you to compete for my jobs. :-)

Tara, yes, you never know.

Ananda, you give me hope!

Thanks Churlita. Though it'll be hard to sign loan docs with fingers crossed.

Life support!

I see what you mean though, this one person at least is obviously quite taken with you. Could still be good.

I've been through one of those too. I had this strange "what the heck was that" feeling when I walked out. Although I did eventually have that elusive second interview with the first guys boss. About 15 minutes into the 1 1/2 long interview (including lunch) I could tell the boss was just pissed that he had to drive 4 hours for this interview.

Anyhoo, good luck on the non-interview! Blessings come in strange disguises sometimes.
