Twittering Lunch

--Went out and laid in the sun. Listened, and over or under the sounds of the cars and people, there was a consistent whine of insects buzzing in the heat.

--Decided Wednesday might be Haiku Humpback Day. Here's a haiku a day early.
If you think you can't
breathe, eat, sleep, move, live, love, dream.
Let go. Just do it.

--Firefighters on the corner holding out a boot for Jerry's kids. Wonder if they'll give a percentage to the homeless people whose spot they took.

--My friend decided to name the climb The Gray Matter, in deference to the guy who had originally thought to bolt the line and allowed my friend to do it.

The sun isn't out here. It looks like rain...

Now I wish that I had tried to lie in the sun on my lunch. I walked around downtown and felt 100 years old looking at all the college students newly in town.

I walked in the sun at my lunch for a bit...got bothered by some moron vagrants, got fed up, and went back to my desk...I did manage to read some blogs at lunch.

Susan, we need rain. Send it here.

Churlita. Aw, come on. How about 80 years old?

Evile-well, at least you got SOME vitamin D.

Love the haiku!

As for the firefighters, I always wonder the same thing when I see charities collecting money where the homeless people usually take up their collection.

our town is small enough that the firefighters don't have any homeless competition.
never could lay out in the sun. even with a good book. it just feels wrong to me.
haiku i never got the hang of. to formal i think for me. i'll stick with the occasional limerick.
