I can't go into a fabric store and NOT buy something. Even though I have no immediate use for it. So, if say, a store is moving and everything is 50% off, then there is going to be something I will buy.
Like this (it's sheer):
Or this (sheer also - flash is bouncing off the floor behind it):
Or this (semi outlined in gold):
And finally this (cotton):
I justify it by saying I'll use it someday. And I will...hopefully. In the meantime, I begin my search for a 12-step program for fabric-buying.

Can you make bras and underwear from the fabrics you have?
I like CEO's idea...
I used to have the same problem when I lived outside DC and was into sewing. G Street Fabric was a very dangerous place for me. I could (and did) spend hours there.
Step One: We admitted we were powerless over fabric purchasing, that our lives had become unmanageable.
*nodding*
Thinkin' the meetings are Thursday night in the church basement?
*chuckling* WILD guess!
Oh.....and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!
:-)
Ohhhh sheerrrr
Monty - ha, if I had that talent. But I don't. And I'd still forget them at home anyway.
Squirrel, of course you do.
G Street fabrics has a great bargain section.
Mel, yes, the meetings exist but turn into quilting bees.
Susan, yes, I feel like wrapping myself up in it...
Does sheer mean it's stretchy?
No, sheer is see through.
Ohhhh, (what Susan said) Sheeerrr. C;)
ha. how did I know that was on its way??
I LOVE fabric too! Mostly upholstery fabric, but regular old clothing fabric is nice too. I have all kinds of fabric and remnants...I am always recovering furniture or having it recovered.
I plan to go to Moods from project Runway just because it looks orgasmic!!

Oh, OG, I so did not need to know that. I don't watch that show, but I just looked up the website. You are not helping me!!!
I had to resist buying this beautiful heavy-ish velvety $35/yard fabric at this other place. It would make great pillows. I mean it was 1/2 price, so $17, but really, would I use it?
Hey, there are a lot worse and more expensive addictions.
Yes, haberdashery departments have the same effect on me - all that potential!
