The cat ate my doughnut

I bought doughnuts for my workers on Saturday and had some leftover. I was all excited because I had a plain donut and was going to toast it and do the butter thing. I wake up this morning to find most of it gone and crumbs lying around. Damn cat! Next thing you know it's going to carry a badge and a holster.

My friends rock. Here's the list of accomplishments from this weekend.
- all rugs up and out
- smoke detectors up
- washer and dryer picked up
- bathroom sliding glass door taken off
- 2 doorways widened
- 1 doorway and some wall torn down
- 1 cabinet torn out (with sink)
- 1/2 of fence torn out
- 2 locks re-keyed

I had 6 people with me Saturday and 1 person Sunday. And while that is a TON of work, I am much more realistic about what can and cannot be done in a certain amount of time. As someone said, it's a work in progress and I need to enjoy the journey. And keep my day job so I can rest.

And since everyone loves muppets, here's the Swedish chef making donuts.

Sorry Susan!
yes, Puss, you should know. ;-)
WNG, well, this weekend wasn't painting, so that was fine... And thanks for the sympathies. Not sure if I'm going to the funeral.

LOL definitely not good! At least the cat had a good snack.

What is it about baked goods? I had a cat who would always gnaw her way into the bread bag.

Take consolation. I'm sure it all goes to their hips, too.

Both you and your cat were very busy! Yes, enjoy the process and the journey if at all possible.

bear likes oranges and super sharp cheddar cheese. bella chews on plastic bags if you leave them where she can get to them. and she'll just about bite your finger off for a taste of butter. (she's a bit of a bitch anyway)
don't think either of them likes donughts though. hard to say cause they don't usually last all that long at my house.
glad to hear that the house i getting underway. sorry bout your uncle.

I wonder if your cat dunked the donut in milk first? Or her/his water bowl. You're the second person I've known that has a cat that eats donuts. A former worker told me that her kitten ran off with a powdered donut once and white powder was all over his whiskers. Hehe.

Heather, thanks. Sorry about your hangover. :-)
Oh Tara, that would be cute to see.
