Someone in Chucktown made a tshirt that said "I'm a local, please move aside" and they sold out in days! This in the 'Nicest City in America' ;-)

Puss, yes, beware. Do you speak French?

WNG - that's funnny.... that should be everywhere.

Sometimes I STILL feel like a "tourist" and I've been here in KY for almost 3 years! That was funny!

I don't go downtown Chuck between May and September...my blood pressure can't take it. BUT it has made me a better tourist when I go to new places - I'm organized, I'm polite and when I get confused I get out of the way!

When I used to live in Northern California, we called tourists, terrorists because they were heinous and littered all over the beautiful redwoods. They also helped the local economy, so we had that love/hate relationship with them.

TERA - does anyone visit KY? :-)
WNG, we'll see if that's true when you come visit.
Churlita - that would be more of a hate/love relationship. Yucky.

I have visited KY a couple of times. The Mrs. has family there.

And I make the "is this where they make the KY jelly" joke EVERY time we go there because it NEVER GETS OLD.

There are so many times I feel like a tourist on this planet.

MRT , that is indeed a good joke... though you must have a pretty friendly face for p[eople not to slap you for it!

Mel, I don't even know where you live...

TERA - there's actually amazing climbing in KY too. Never been yet. Red River Gorge...
