milkshake

Yeah, this is how I like to drink my milkshakes... oh baby.
Of course, the model here promptly went and stuck a finger down her throat.

Oh wait, this is supposed to be a pleasant post. I got my milkshake finally! Expensive as all hell, but I got it. BUT, I have an improvement to make. Often in mint chocolate chip ice cream they make the 'chips' itsy bitsy. So, by the time they make it into a shake, there's no bits left. Which was my issue today. So next time (in the month it takes me to get down off this sugar high) I'll mix regular chocolate chip ice cream and peppermint stick ice cream. mmmm... can't wait. Ok, well, I can, since if I had another today I'd barf.

Mint chocolate chip is my favorite ice cream and shake flavor, too. I was recently tempted by a Thin Mint Blizzard at the Dairy Queen by my parents' house, but I figured that if it was good, I could wind up with an addiction that is not possible to satiate in NYC. Too risky.

Most of the food used in advertising shoots is prepared to be filmed under the harsh lights needed by the photographers. Real ice cream cannot be photographed under those conditions - it melts too fast.

So you should be reassured to know that the mixture in that photograph probably is just whipped up lard.

Having said all that, mint chocolate chip is a personal favorite (although coffee with chocolate chips is up there). Dreyers brand does not color the ice cream bright green and the chips are HUGE chunks. The brand isn't as good as Blue Bell, but if you like large chocolate chunks that is the way to go.

Suzanne, I think Dairy Queen doubles the calories somehow, so it's all for the best.

MRT. Barf. Thank you. Barf again.
I guess I need to learn how to make milkshakes...

There's a whole world of milkshake flavours out there that are entirely alien to me - we just don't have them here.
